Average Day in the Life of Jaedyn
Growing up my grandpa who we called "Papa" was more like my dad than my biological dad. My Papa was an amazing man who had a great sense of humor brought and joy to my day. I loved every moment I spent with him. Some of my fondest memories included him taking my sister Endy and I to McDonald's before school, getting to have a talk with him in the hospital when he was really sick, and our trips to Dairy Queen.
One of the reasons that I viewed Papa as my dad was he cared so much about my sisters and I. He would do anything for us no matter what. He inspired me to do great things and offer kindness to all. Papa was the type of guy that would tell you exactly how he felt. He was brutally honest. He always told me that he would be there for me regardless of what was going on. He didn't understand my dad's actions but never put him down.
My Papa passed away on September 01, 2015. On the day he died my sister and I were both at my dad's house when my mom called Endy letting us know that she was picking us up from Hy-Vee at 4:30 pm. I can remember thinking that something bad just happened. When my mom arrived and told us the news of Papa's passing I was devastated. I thought, "why now?" To this day I miss the man who taught me to believe in myself and be proud of who I am particularly with the color of my skin.
i really like your format and background. :)
